New Shows and Movies to Stream This Weekend on Netflix, Apple TV, Prime Video And More

This weekend brings a slew of new shows and movies to stream on various platforms. If you're looking for something to binge, consider these recommendations.

The BBC historical drama series "King & Conqueror" premieres Saturday, focusing on the events leading up to the invasion of England by William I in 1066. The show boasts an impressive cast but has received mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike.

For those who enjoy detective work, PBS/Masterpiece is airing new episodes of "Maigret," a series based on the novels by Georges Simenon about Parisian Chief Inspector Jules Maigret. The show stars Benjamin Wainwright as the titular character, investigating crimes in Paris.

On the other hand, fans of crime thrillers should check out Paramount+โ€™s "Tulsa King," starring Sylvester Stallone as a mobster sent to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he forms his own crew with Samuel L. Jackson. The series is set to release new episodes every Sunday.

If you're in the mood for something lighter, Hulu has a show called "Down Cemetery Road" that's based on Mick Herron's Zoe Boehm novels and follows Sarah Trafford as she investigates a mysterious disappearance in Oxford. The show stars Ruth Wilson and Emma Thompson.

Other notable releases include the historical drama series "Robin Hood," which offers an alternative take on the classic tale, as well as the action-packed "The Running Man" starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.

I'm so over these historical dramas ๐Ÿคฏ! Don't get me wrong, I love a good period piece, but can't they come up with something more original? I mean, how many times are we gonna watch the same old invasion or detective story? Give me some fresh blood, you know? And what's up with all these older shows getting rebooted again? Masterpiece is like 30 years behind. ๐Ÿ™„ At least "Tulsa King" looks decent, Stallone's still got it ๐Ÿ’ฅ and Samuel L. Jackson's always a wild card. Maybe I'll give that one a try, but the rest of this lineup seems pretty meh to me ๐Ÿ˜

I'm not sure why everyone's so hyped about this new "King & Conqueror" show... I mean, it sounds like another historical drama that's gonna be all like "oh look, we're talking about William I in 1066 again". Don't get me wrong, the cast is probably great and all, but has anyone actually seen a decent historical drama lately? And don't even get me started on how predictable the plot is just gonna be. It's not like it's never been done before. Meanwhile, shows like "Tulsa King" are getting so much less attention... it's got action, suspense, and Sylvester Stallone - what more do you want?! ๐Ÿค‘

OMG, I'm so excited for this weekend's streaming marathon! ๐Ÿคฉ The new episodes of "Maigret" sound like a great watch, especially with Benjamin Wainwright on board as Jules Maigret - he's got that detective vibe going on! ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ Also, I've been meaning to check out "Tulsa King" - Sylvester Stallone is always a guarantee for some intense action scenes, right? ๐Ÿ’ฅ And can't forget about the lighthearted "Down Cemetery Road" - Ruth Wilson and Emma Thompson are such talented actresses, I love them! ๐Ÿ‘ฏโ€โ™€๏ธ

OMG ๐Ÿคฉ, I'm so stoked for this weekend's new shows and movies! There are some seriously epic releases coming out on all the major platforms ๐Ÿ“บ. Like, have you seen the cast list for that BBC historical drama series "King & Conqueror"? It's lit ๐Ÿ”ฅ! But at the same time, I've heard mixed vibes from critics and fans alike... idk, maybe I'll just have to watch it myself to make up my mind ๐Ÿ˜‚.

And omg, "Tulsa King" with Sylvester Stallone? That sounds like a total adrenaline rush ๐Ÿ’ฅ! Samuel L. Jackson as his mobster BFF is already giving me all the feels ๐Ÿค. On the lighter side, I've been eyeing that new show on Hulu called "Down Cemetery Road"... it looks super mysterious and intriguing ๐Ÿ•ต๏ธโ€โ™€๏ธ.

I'm also loving the fact that there's so much variety for different types of shows - from detective work to historical dramas and action-packed thrillers. It's like, someone's got something for everyone this weekend ๐Ÿคฏ!

๐Ÿ“บ I'm not sure why we're still getting these new shows and movies every weekend ๐Ÿค”. It's like our streaming services are trying to keep us all busy ๐Ÿ˜…. But seriously, some of these shows look pretty interesting. The "King & Conqueror" series on BBC seems like it could be a great historical drama, especially with that impressive cast ๐Ÿ‘‘. And I'm intrigued by the idea of "Tulsa King" - Sylvester Stallone as a mobster? That's not something you see every day ๐Ÿ˜Ž. On the other hand, some of these shows feel like they're trying to fill a void or something ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ. Like, is this really what we need more of - more detective work and crime thrillers? I mean, don't get me wrong, I love a good whodunit as much as the next person ๐Ÿ•ต๏ธโ€โ™€๏ธ, but can't we just take a break from all that for once? ๐Ÿ˜ด

I'm still not sure about this new BBC series... I remember seeing a trailer for it last year and thought it looked pretty cool but then some friends told me it was kinda lacking? ๐Ÿค” Anyways, has anyone seen the first ep yet? Should we all stick with what we know and love or give it a shot? Also, what's up with Hulu's new show "Down Cemetery Road"? I've been hearing mixed reviews too ๐Ÿ˜

OMG is this gonna be a great weekend to relax & binge some shows ๐Ÿ“บ๐Ÿ‘€ I'm kinda interested in the King & Conqueror show but haven't heard much about it - how accurate do u think it'll be? ๐Ÿค” also, i love detective shows so Maigret sounds right up my alley - has anyone watched it before? ๐Ÿ˜ธ

I'm so done with all these new shows comin' out every weekend ๐Ÿคฏ! I mean, I love a good binge as much as the next person, but can't we just stick to one show per month or somethin'? It's like they're tryin' to wear us out ๐Ÿ˜‚. I'm lookin' forward to "King & Conqueror", been hearin' it's got some great performances, especially that cast they got. But, honestly, have you seen any of the other stuff comin' out? ๐Ÿค” "Tulsa King" sounds kinda interestin', but Sylvester Stallone just don't do it for me anymore ๐Ÿ˜. And what's up with all these historical dramas? Can't we get some modern shows around here for once? ๐Ÿ™„

๐ŸŽฌ ooh I just saw the trailer for King & Conqueror and it looks super intense! William I is such a fascinating figure in history, I'm excited to learn more about his reign through this show ๐Ÿค”. I've also been meaning to check out Tulsa King, Sylvester Stallone always brings that extra energy ๐Ÿ˜Ž. And down Cemetery Road sounds like the perfect cozy mystery for a lazy Sunday โ˜•๏ธ๐Ÿ“š

Omg ๐Ÿคฉ just saw the lineup for this weekend's new shows & movies ๐Ÿ“บ๐Ÿ‘€ first off, I'm low-key excited to see "King & Conqueror" ๐Ÿ”ฅ Saturday can't come soon enough! ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ been binging on historical dramas lately and this one sounds like a game-changer ๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ”ช

Also, who else is team Maigret ๐Ÿ’ผ? ๐Ÿ™‹โ€โ™‚๏ธ love the classic detective vibes ๐Ÿ˜Ž with Ben Wainwright as Jules, it's gonna be a must-watch! ๐Ÿ” I'm also intrigued by "Tulsa King" ๐Ÿคบโ€โ™‚๏ธ Sylvester Stallone's mobster antics always bring the heat ๐Ÿ”ฅ

And can we talk about Ruth Wilson & Emma Thompson in "Down Cemetery Road"? ๐Ÿ‘€ those two are absolute perfection ๐Ÿ’– and that show looks soooo good! ๐Ÿ˜ add it to my watchlist pronto โฐ
