Marvel rings in new year with Wonder Man trailer

Marvel Studios has released a new trailer for its upcoming miniseries, "Wonder Man", to ring in the new year. The eight-episode show marks part of Marvel's Phase Six and will premiere on Disney+ later this month.

The series was created by Destin Daniel Cretton, who is also known for directing "Shang-Chi and the Legend of Five Rings," and Andrew Guest, the creator of "Hawkeye". The show revolves around Simon Williams, a.k.a. Wonder Man, an actor with superpowers who lands the lead role in a superhero TV series.

Simon's journey to audition is filled with stress as he tries to control his powers during the acting process. However, things take a drastic turn when he is asked to sign a form stating that he doesn't have superpowers. Unfortunately, this leads to an "extraordinary threat" being declared by the Department of Damage Control.

The new trailer, released just ahead of New York Comic Con last fall, showcased some of the show's meta-humor and then provided more details about the premise in its full release during the event itself. The latest trailer is packed with footage that shows Simon struggling to balance his acting career with his extraordinary abilities.

"Wonder Man" will premiere on Disney+ on January 27, 2026, marking an exciting addition to Marvel's lineup of original content.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II stars as Wonder Man, alongside Demetrius Grosse, Ed Harris, Arian Moayed, Lauren Glazier, Josh Gad, Byron Bowers, Bechir Sylvain, and Manny McCord in various roles. The series is also featuring the return of Ben Kingsley as Trevor Slattery.

The show promises to be a thrilling ride with a mix of action, drama, and humor, set against the backdrop of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's (MCU) Phase Six. With an all-star cast and creative team behind it, fans can expect "Wonder Man" to deliver on its promise of excitement and entertainment.

In this new year, get ready for an unforgettable adventure with Simon Williams, aka Wonder Man.

πŸŽ₯πŸ‘ I'm so stoked that Marvel Studios is giving us another awesome show! 🀩 The trailer for "Wonder Man" looks hilarious and action-packed at the same time. I love how they're playing with the idea of a superhero TV series, it's like a meta commentary on our favorite shows. πŸ’‘ And can we talk about Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Wonder Man? He's going to bring so much charm and charisma to the role! 😎 The casting is everything, I'm hyped for Ed Harris and Ben Kingsley's return. This show is shaping up to be an epic ride, can't wait to dive in on January 27th! πŸ“ΊπŸ‘

I gotta say, I'm low-key hyped about this show! 😎 The idea of a superhero struggling with balancing acting gigs and superpowers is so relatable it's crazy. Like, we've all had those moments where we're trying to keep our cool on set but really just want to jump off the roof because of something ridiculous happening. 🀣 And the cast? Wow, I mean I love Ben Kingsley as Trevor Slattery, he's always good for a laugh! πŸ˜† But seriously, with this team behind it, I'm expecting some amazing stuff. The MCU has been killing it lately and I'm excited to see where "Wonder Man" takes us. Can't wait for Jan 27th! πŸŽ‰

omg i'm so hyped about wonder man now that the trailer is out 🀩 i was skeptical at first but the meta humor in it is actually kinda genius πŸ€“ i love how simon's struggles as a normal person with superpowers are making me laugh and feel bad for him at the same time πŸ˜‚ ben kingsley is back as trevor slattery too? that's some exciting casting news! πŸŽ₯ have you guys seen any behind-the-scenes peeks from set or interviews with the cast and crew yet?

omg, just watched the trailer for wonder man miniseries 🀩πŸŽ₯ i'm low-key excited about it, but also a bit skeptical? simon williams as wonder man sounds kinda cheesy, and how they're gonna balance his acting career with superpowers is gonna be interesting to see play out... and that department of damage control sounds like a whole other can of worms πŸ€―πŸ” also loving the cast, especially ben kingsley returning as trevor slattery - always a win for more wonder man πŸ˜„

OMG, I'm super stoked for this one! 🀩 I've been loving the meta-humor in Marvel shows lately, and this one seems to be bringing it on a whole other level πŸ˜‚. But what's got me thinking is how this show is gonna explore the human side of superheroes... I mean, who hasn't felt like they're losing themselves in the process of trying to control these crazy powers? 🀯 Simon's struggle feels super relatable, and I'm all about that character development πŸ“Ί. The casting looks awesome too - Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Wonder Man is a total win for me! πŸ‘ Can't wait to see this show come together and know it's gonna be a wild ride 🎒!

🀣 I'm so done with the whole 'it's not a superhero show if you're hiding your powers' thing πŸ™„. Like, can't they just be open about it from the start? It's already hard enough trying to balance an acting career with having superpowers πŸ’ͺ. And what's up with the Department of Damage Control? Sounds like they're more concerned with keeping the secret than saving the world πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ. I'm hyped for this show though, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Wonder Man is gonna be amazing 😎!

omg u guys i just saw the new trailer 4 "wonder man" miniseries 🀯 & im SO here 4 it!!! simon williams aka wonder man sounds like such a relatable character who's just trying 2 control his powers while chasing his dreams as an actor πŸŽπŸ‘

i love how the show is tackling meta-humor & exploring the idea of what it means 2 be a superhero in today's world πŸ€”. and with the all-star cast & creative team behind it, i'm expecting epic action sequences, heart-wrenching drama, & LOL moments galore πŸ˜‚

the premise seems so intriguing too - who wouldn't wanna see wonder man navigate the ups & downs of showbiz while keeping his superpowers under wraps? 🀫🎬 can't wait 2 see yahya abdul-mateen ii bring simon to life & see what kind of thrills & spills await us in "wonder man" πŸŽ‰

πŸ€” I'm not sure what's up with Marvel releasing a trailer for "Wonder Man" now, when it's actually coming out in 2026 πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. It feels like they're trying to hype it up too early, but at the same time, who doesn't love a good superhero show? πŸ¦Έβ€β™‚οΈ The cast looks solid and I'm intrigued by the premise - playing an actor with superpowers sounds like a fun idea 🎭. But what's with the Department of Damage Control? Sounds like they're trying to hide something from Simon πŸ˜•. Either way, I'll be tuning in on January 27th to see how it all plays out πŸ“Ί.

I'm low-key excited about this new Marvel show 🀩! It seems like they're playing with the whole meta thing, where the superhero is struggling to control their powers in real life too πŸ˜‚. The cast looks amazing, and Ben Kingsley's return as Trevor Slattery is a nice touch πŸ‘‘. But what I'm really looking forward to is seeing how Simon navigates his secret identity and balances his acting career with his superhuman abilities πŸ€”. It's going to be a wild ride, and I'm ready for it! πŸš€ The trailer just dropped, and it's already giving me all the feels 😍. Bring on January 27th, and let's get this Wonder Man party started! πŸŽ‰

I'm getting so sick of these fancy Marvel trailers πŸ™„... they're just a bunch of over-the-top hype festing with no actual substance πŸ˜’. I mean, what's up with the whole "signing a form" thing? Sounds like some Hollywood drama nonsense to me 🀣. And can we talk about how they're trying to pass off this fake superhero as if he's real? It's just a gimmick to sell more merchandise and tickets πŸ€‘. And don't even get me started on the cast... Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is okay, I guess, but the rest of them are all like "who?" πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. Anyway, I'm gonna stick to my actual favorite shows, not some overpriced Marvel miniseries πŸ’Έ
