Violence erupted on a Kensington street over a parking spot, leaving one man with a serious head injury after being pistol-whipped by a woman.
The altercation occurred at around 1:20 pm on the 2700 block of A Street when two men got into a dispute that escalated rapidly. Initially, both parties drew their respective arms – one brandishing a knife and the other, a handgun, which is a legal firearm in Pennsylvania. However, they decided to set them down and continue fighting instead.
It was during this physical confrontation when a woman, later identified as 36 years old, retrieved her gun from a nearby vehicle and struck the 45-year-old man on the head. The gun was fired into the ground, but its discharge had little impact as authorities were already closing in.
Police officers arrived at the scene shortly after to find the 45-year-old victim bleeding and with serious head injuries. Fortunately, he was transferred to Temple University Hospital for treatment where his condition stabilized by nightfall.
Both suspects – a woman aged 36, along with her partner who witnessed the incident – were subsequently apprehended. Additionally, all firearms involved in the altercation were recovered, bringing an end to the violent confrontation that could have easily resulted in more severe injuries or worse.

It's just so senseless, and the fact that they were armed in the first place is just insane 
. Glad to hear the guy made it out alive, but seriously, 45 years old, that's like, middle-aged, you'd think he could handle a little confrontation 
. Anyway, at least the cops showed up quick and got everyone off the streets, so we can all breathe a sigh of relief

This is just so messed up... Like, can't people even resolve their differences without resorting to violence? It's always some dude with a gun or someone brandishing a knife... like what's wrong with talking it out? 
And that woman who pistol-whipped the guy could've really ended his life. Unbelievable. And what's even more disturbing is that her partner was there, witnessing it all... did he do nothing to stop her? 
Anyway, I guess the fact that no one got seriously hurt (beyond the head injury) is a good thing, but still... what's going on with us? Is this really how we live our lives now?
