New Names Added to the CMA Awards Performer Lineup, Including Country Music Powerhouses

Performers for the 59th Annual CMA Awards have continued to pile up with Kelsea Ballerini, Brandi Carlile, and Kenny Chesney joining the roster. The growing list of artists includes Riley Green, Miranda Lambert, Patty Loveless, Old Dominion, The Red Clay Strays, and Chris Stapleton.

Other previously announced performers are still on board, including BigXThaPlug, Luke Combs, Ella Langley, Megan Moroney, Shaboozey, Zach Top, Tucker Wetmore, and Lainey Wilson. Notably, country music icon Brandi Carlile will be taking the stage alongside some of her peers.

In a unique hosting role, Lainey Wilson is set to guide through the evening's festivities. Legendary musician Vince Gill has been named as the recipient of this year's Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award.

The full list of nominees for the 59th Annual CMA Awards can be viewed online. Fans in the United States will have the opportunity to catch the ceremony live on ABC, beginning at 8pm EST/7pm CST on November 19th. Viewers can then stream it again the following day on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.

To get a closer look at all the nominees and performers before they take the stage, viewers are invited to tune in to the "On The Red Carpet at the CMA Awards" preshow, kicking off at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT. I'm not sure about Brandi Carlile being a "country music powerhouse"... 🤔 I mean, she's definitely an amazing artist, but I think that label might be a bit of stretch. She's known for her genre-bending sound and activism, which is awesome, but maybe we shouldn't put her in the same category as some of the more traditional country artists? 🎸 Anyway, it's great to see so many talented folks on the lineup! 🎉 The fact that Lainey Wilson is hosting is also super cool - I'm loving her vibe and energy! 💃

Ugh, more country music 🤠🎸... I mean, I guess it's always a good thing for Kelsea Ballerini and Brandi Carlile to get some love. It's not like we're going to run out of overplayed songs about trucks and heartbreak anytime soon 🚗💔. I mean, can't wait to see all these talented country musicians come together for a night of singing and pretending to be friends on stage 🎤👫. seriously though, Brandi Carlile being inducted into Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award is no surprise - she's been slaying the country scene for years and her activism isn't going unnoticed 💁‍♀️. and who doesn't love a good ol' fashioned family reunion like the one they're gonna have on stage with all these legendary names in attendance? it's like a never-ending game of musical chairs, but with more cowboy boots and fewer chances to actually win a chair 🤠🎉
