Sisters Katie and Allison Crutchfield have brought their musical talents together again with the formation of Snocaps, a new band featuring MJ Lenderman and Brad Cook. In celebration of their self-titled debut album released last Friday, October 31st, the quartet has announced its first (and possibly only) tour.
The six-date run will take place in December, with performances scheduled in Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York City. Each concert will feature a different opening act, including Ryan Davis and The Roadhouse Band, Cloakroom, Graham Hunt, and Slippers. Fans can look forward to the band performing both Snocaps songs and tracks from their past projects, including songs from P.S. Eliot, Swearin', and Allison's 2017 solo LP Tourist In This Town.
In a recent post on her Substack, Katie hinted that she plans to dust off some of her older Waxahatchee material, which hasn't been played live in years, citing that the songs are "sounding fresh and sweet and good again." The tour dates, openers, and ticket information can be found on the Snocaps website.
It's worth noting that this tour may be the band's only outing for now. When asked about future plans, Katie said, "I can't say this will be all we'll do but it is genuinely all that we have planned right now." While it's unclear if Snocaps will embark on additional concerts in the near future, fans can look forward to a unique and exciting live experience when these six shows take place.
