'Fearless' Alex Scott determined to take chance with Tuchel's England

Alex Scott, the 22-year-old midfielder from Guernsey, is poised to make his mark on the English national team under Thomas Tuchel's guidance. The Bristol City graduate has been making waves in the football world with his impressive performances, and now he's got the chance to take his talent to the next level.

Scott's journey to becoming a professional footballer was far from conventional. Growing up on Guernsey, he played for the local team, Guernsey FC, at the age of 16, breaking into the eighth-tier Isthmian League Division One South East. His remarkable form caught the attention of Bristol City, who offered him a scholarship in January 2020.

Scott's background has been instrumental in shaping his footballing career. The islander mentality that he credits for his fearless approach to the game is deeply rooted in his upbringing on Guernsey. With a strong support system from his family and friends, Scott was able to maintain his passion for football despite facing setbacks, including injuries that kept him out of action for four months last year.

Scott's determination and resilience have earned him a place in the England squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Serbia at Wembley on Thursday and Albania in Tirana three days later. As he prepares to take on this new challenge, Scott is acutely aware of the responsibility that comes with representing his country.

"My dad is with her mum," Scott says about his stepsister Maya Le Tissier, who has 10 caps for the England women's side. "We've grown up together and we're very close. We speak most days." The bond between Scott and his family is evident, and he credits them for being a constant source of motivation.

As he embarks on this new journey with the English national team, Scott remains focused on showcasing his skills and contributing to the team's success. With a sense of pride and responsibility, he acknowledges that it will be tough to dislodge Declan Rice from the No 8 role, but he is eager to prove himself.

"I'm all business about seizing my moment," Scott says with a smile. The stage is set for Alex Scott to make his mark on English football, and fans are eagerly watching to see what this talented young midfielder has in store for them.

omg u can feel the nervous energy around alex scott 😊 he's got a huge responsibility on his shoulders but i think he's gonna crush it!!! his family support is everything to him & it shows how much they care 🤗 maya le tissier is literally the coolest stepsister ever, loved that she's part of england women's team too 💖 anyone who knows scott would agree with me that bristol city did an amazing job scouting him from the 8th tier 🙌 gotta root for this young guy, wish him all the best @ wembley & tirana! 💪

I cant believe how fast the world has changed since I was a teenager lol 🤣. Remember when players had to come from nowhere and work their way up through the leagues? Now it's all about playing for big clubs and being scouted at 16. I'm not saying it's not great that kids are getting opportunities, but sometimes I feel like the sport has lost some of its grit and determination.

And what's with all these young players talking about how their families support them 🤷‍♂️? Don't get me wrong, family is important, but come on guys, you're playing for your country! You've got to want it more than that 💪. Still, I suppose it's great to see kids like Alex Scott having the chance to shine and represent their country. Fingers crossed he doesn't let them down 🤞

I mean, can you believe it? 🤯 A Guernsey kid making it big in the England national team? It's like something out of a dream, right? I'm excited to see how Alex Scott does, he seems like he's got the right attitude and support system behind him. Growing up on an island is all about community and resilience, you know? 🌴🏞️

But what I love most about this story is that it shows the importance of family in sports. His stepsister Maya is a pro for the England women's team, and Alex has got his mom to support him too. It's like they're all rooting for each other, you know? ❤️👪

Of course, there's also that old pressure thing, where you've got to live up to expectations and prove yourself to the masses. I mean, Declan Rice is a legend, but Alex can't just be intimidated by him, right? 😅 He needs to show us what he's got.

Overall, I'm hyped for Alex Scott's chances. It'll be awesome to see him on that pitch, giving it his all and showing the world what he's made of. 🏆🔥

omg can't even blw up!! alex scott is literally the future of english footy 💥🔥 i mean dont get me wrong declan rice is awesome but alex is on another level 🤩 his fam support is everything & it shows in his game 👍 maya le tissier is like his sis btw 🤗 cant wait for him to crush it at wembley & show the world what he's got 💪🏽🔵🇬🇧

I think its awesome that someone from Guernsey's making it big in the England national team 🤩! Alex Scott's story is so inspiring - he's had a non-traditional path to becoming a pro, but his dedication and passion have paid off 💪. It's cool how he credits his island upbringing for giving him that fearless mentality on the field 😎. Now he just needs to bring that energy to the pitch and show everyone what he's got 🚀!

I think the whole thing is gonna be a disaster 🤦‍♂️. Thomas Tuchel's just a manager trying to fill a bunch of holes, and Alex Scott's gonna get lost in all that. He'll struggle to keep up with Declan Rice and everyone else on the team. And what's with this "I'm all business" vibe? Sounds like he's already got the pressure on him 🤔. I mean, what if he just can't handle it? What if he fails miserably and then everyone's all "Oh no, we wasted a scholarship on that kid"? 😬
