like how can nature be so cruel & destructive?? people are literally fighting for survival over here 
and it's just heartbreaking to see all these beautiful towns reduced to rubble 
anyway i hope the aid & support from other countries helps the philippines recover soon, it's a huge disaster & they need as much help as they can get 
. The Philippines is already dealing with so much, what with poverty and infrastructure issues, and then you hit them with a massive typhoon like Kalmaegi 
. I mean, where is all this aid supposed to go? The UN's statement is a good start, but what about the long-term help? Will these countries follow through with their promises or just send some token support 
? It's a lot of pressure on the Philippine government to get everything sorted out, and I'm not sure they're equipped to handle it right now

but at the same time, i wish they had more preparedness measures in place so they can prevent these types of disasters from happening in the first place

what's worse than getting flooded out of your home tho? the thought of not being able to make a decent cuppa at home for weeks is just too much to handle 
️ i'm seriously considering investing in one of those portable shower stalls, you know, just in case typhoons become more frequent 
also, 10k displaced? that's crazy... do the gov't stats account for people who have to evacuate their homes but still live in shelters or with relatives? i'd want those numbers too before accepting they're accurate 
and what about the actual causes of these typhoons? is it just climate change, or are there other factors at play? need more info on that

some big companies should do more than just donating $5k to help out 
& ppl need to start thinking about sustainable living & natural disaster preparedness too 
millions of dollars for damage but still they get hit again? why can't they just move to a different country lol or is it because the gov's dont wanna pay for that
