Cynthia Erivo Guards Ariana Grande From Fan Attack Quicker Than Security at 'Wicked' Premiere

Ariana Grande was left shaken after a fan attack at the "Wicked: For Good" premiere in Singapore, with Cynthia Erivo reacting swiftly to intervene on her behalf.

At the red carpet event, a self-proclaimed "stage invader" named Johnson Wen, who goes by the handle Pyjama Man, suddenly appeared and grabbed Grande, pulling her into an unwanted hug. The singer quickly became visibly frightened, while security guards took their time to react.

According to eyewitnesses, Wen was particularly delusional, as he had shared a video on Instagram capturing himself jumping up and down on Grande's shoulders while gripping her shoulders, with the caption "Thank you for letting me Jump on the Yellow Carpet with You โค๏ธ." His social media bio also read "Ariana Grande is the Queen."

Wen was described wearing only his white socks, a T-shirt, and shorts before rushing towards Grande. Erivo swiftly reacted by yelling at Wen before shifting her focus to consoling Grande. A representative for Grande did not immediately comment on the incident.

The fan's actions have been widely condemned by fans, who felt that Wen's behavior was "so disrespectful" not only to Grande but also to other genuine fans waiting in line. The singer had drawn clear boundaries with fans at the start of the tour, stating that she would miss a Brazil premiere due to flight delays beyond her control.

The incident has raised concerns about fan safety and the need for additional security measures at future events. The "Wicked: For Good" tour will continue with a final event in New York on Monday, albeit with enhanced security precautions. When exiting the venue, Grande and Erivo were whisked away to their waiting car without making any stops or interactions with fans.

OMG, I'm literally shook by this fan attack ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿšซ! Like, what's wrong with people, right? I mean, I get that some fans can be super enthusiastic, but not at the cost of disrespecting the artist themselves ๐Ÿ˜’. And honestly, it's kinda sad to see Ariana Grande being pulled into this unwanted hug, I feel so bad for her ๐Ÿค•. And Cynthia Erivo jumping in like a pro was everything, btw ๐Ÿ’–. Safety first, you know? Can't have people just rushing up to celebrities without thinking about their feelings or well-being ๐Ÿ˜”. The "Wicked: For Good" tour needs to take extra precautions from now on, for sure ๐Ÿšจ.

Wow ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฏ this guy is seriously out of his mind! How does someone think it's a good idea to invade someone's personal space like that? And the Instagram post? What, thinking he was invited to join Ariana on the red carpet? So disrespectful to both her and other fans who actually waited in line. And wow, just wow... how did security not react faster? ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ’ฅ

OMG ๐Ÿ˜ฑ can u believe that guy Pyjama Man got so out of line at Ariana's premiere ๐Ÿคฏ he literally grabbed her and pulled her into an unwanted hug ๐Ÿคข i feel so bad for Ari ๐Ÿ˜ญ she was totally shaken and it's not okay that the security guards took their time to react ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ cynthia erivo is a lifesaver tho ๐Ÿ’ช for taking matters into her own hands ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™€๏ธ and consoling Ari at the same time ๐Ÿ˜Š anyway, i think this incident highlights how some fans can get way too obsessed and need to respect boundaries ๐Ÿšซ Ari did make it clear that she didn't want any interactions with fans before the show, so what did we expect? ๐Ÿค”

omg lol pyjama man is like totally insane rn!!! ๐Ÿ˜‚ i mean whats even more sus is he had that vid of himself jumping on ars shoulders on instagram before this event lol ๐Ÿคฃ what a weirdo! fans r right tho, wens behaviour was super disrespectful & hurtful especially since she already said no to hugs at the start of her tour ๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™€๏ธ im just glad no one else got hurt besides ar & cynthia ๐Ÿ™ and omg enhanced security @ the nyc event? better safe than sorry rn ๐Ÿ’ก

I'm not surprised that there are people who get carried away like that... I mean, some fans can be pretty intense, right? But still, it's one thing to show enthusiasm from a distance and another to invade someone's personal space like that ๐Ÿคฏ. I feel bad for Ariana Grande, though - she was already dealing with flight delays and all that drama before this happened. And yeah, Cynthia Erivo being so quick to step in and help is super cool... but also a little intimidating, tbh ๐Ÿ˜…. The thing is, we need to be more mindful of our surroundings when attending events like this, especially for the artists performing. It's not just about security, it's also about respecting the people involved ๐Ÿ™.

๐Ÿ˜ฑ omg, this is so crazy what happened at that premiere ๐ŸŽฌ! I mean, I get it, some people can be a bit too obsessed but seriously ๐Ÿ˜…, Johnson Wen's behavior was like whoa... jumping on Ariana Grande's shoulders and hugging her without permission? That's just wrong ๐Ÿ’”. And to think he even shared the video online ๐Ÿ“น, I'm surprised no one reported him sooner! ๐Ÿ˜’ The fact that security took so long to react is pretty shocking too โฐ. On the bright side, Cynthia Erivo stepped up and saved the day ๐Ÿ’ช. Glad Ariana's okay now and I hope this incident makes event organizers take extra precautions for future shows ๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ๐Ÿ’ผ

๐Ÿ˜” oh no... this is so sad... my heart goes out to Ariana Grande ๐Ÿค— she's already going through so much on tour and now this... a fan attacking her like that?! it's just not okay ๐Ÿ˜ก how could someone be so delusional and reckless with their actions? ๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™‚๏ธ Wen, the "stage invader", needs some serious help, tbh ๐Ÿ’” And Cynthia Erivo's swift intervention was amazing, but I'm sure Ariana was already shaken by this experience... my thoughts are with her and everyone affected by this ๐Ÿ˜• hope she gets to enjoy the rest of her tour without any more incidents ๐Ÿคž

๐Ÿค” oh my gosh this is so crazy what was going through Johnson Wen's mind ?? ๐Ÿคฏ like he had no idea that Ariana Grande would be all like "uh no" when she saw him coming at her ๐Ÿ˜‚ and then she must have been totally freaked out ๐Ÿ˜จ, poor Cynthia Erivo for having to step in like that too ๐Ÿ™

and omg why did the guy think it was okay to just jump on stage and hug Ariana ?? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ she's literally a celebrity, not some random person at the mall ๐Ÿ›๏ธ I don't get how he thought his little Instagram stunts would translate to real life ๐Ÿ“ธ

and can we talk about the fact that this guy was only wearing socks and a t-shirt ๐Ÿ˜‚ what were you thinking dude ?? ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™‚๏ธ

๐Ÿคฏ just thinking about what that fan did is giving me the chills... I mean, who tries to hug someone on the red carpet uninvited? ๐Ÿ˜ณ it's so not cool, especially when you know the person you're hugging has boundaries in place. ๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™‚๏ธ and wow, pyjama man needs some serious help ๐Ÿ‘•๐Ÿ‘– hope aria got the support she needed from Cynthia erivo ๐Ÿ’• security should've been on top of things too ๐Ÿšจ

OMG ๐Ÿคฏ, can you even imagine being Ariana Grande and some random dude jumps all over you?! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ Johnson Wen is literally a total creep, I mean what's up with his Instagram post, like who does that?! ๐Ÿ™„ He's totally disrespecting Ariana and her fans by doing something so ridiculous. And to make matters worse, the security guards took ages to intervene, it was like they were just standing there watching the whole thing go down! ๐Ÿ˜ค Anyway, I'm glad Cynthia Erivo stepped in and looked out for Ariana, that was super cool of her. Enhanced security measures are a must at these events, no more tolerating this kind of behavior from fans! ๐Ÿ’ฏ

I'm so sorry Ariana Grande went through that ๐Ÿ˜ฑ. As a fan myself, I can only imagine how scary it must've been for her. Pyjama Man's actions are just completely out of line - I mean, who does that?! ๐Ÿ˜ก It's not okay to touch someone without their consent, especially in public. I'm glad Cynthia Erivo stepped up and defended her though ๐Ÿ’–. The whole thing is just a reminder that we need to be more considerate of each other when it comes to personal space ๐Ÿค. I hope Ariana is doing okay after this shocking experience ๐Ÿ‘€. And can you believe the guy had posted that video online? Like, seriously creeped out ๐Ÿ˜ณ.

๐Ÿค” Honestly, I'm kinda feeling for this guy Pyjama Man ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ... like, what's the harm in showing up and being super enthusiastic? ๐Ÿ˜† He's not even a hardcore fan, just some dude who likes Ariana Grande enough to dress up like her. And yeah, his behavior was weird, but I get that he was trying to connect with Grande in his own way ๐Ÿค—. Security should've been on it sooner tho ๐Ÿ’”. Maybe we can't condone his actions, but let's not judge him too harshly either? ๐Ÿ˜

omg u no how scary that is ๐Ÿคฏ like what if he wasnt just some crazy fan but someone with bad intentions? i feel bad for ariana though she did nothing wrong ๐Ÿ˜” and why would u do something like that to someone u dont even know? i mean even if ur a super big fan like pyjama man, there's gotta be better ways 2 express urself. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ also what's up with his socks tho? was he trying 2 make a statement or wut? ๐Ÿ˜‚

OMG, I'm still shook ๐Ÿ˜ฑ by this fan attack incident ๐Ÿคฏ. Like, who does that?! ๐Ÿ™„ Ariana Grande is literally the Queen of Pop ๐Ÿ‘‘ and yet some psycho tries to hug her up close without permission? ๐Ÿคฎ And what's with Johnson Wen going around thinking he's some kind of stage invader ๐Ÿšซ?! It's so disrespectful to fans like us waiting in line who are just trying to catch a glimpse of our fave ๐Ÿ’•. The fact that Ariana had already set boundaries about not meeting fans and he still goes ahead and does this? ๐Ÿ˜ก Like, what is wrong with some people?! ๐Ÿ˜ค

I donโ€™t usually comment but what's really got me thinking is how can someone get so out of control like that? I mean, they knew Ariana had mentioned no touching her at the start of the tour and still they just went for it ๐Ÿคฏ...and on a red carpet event too! It's crazy to think about how fans can take things too far. I'm all for meeting celebrities and showing enthusiasm but not at the expense of someone else's personal space or safety. The security should've been faster to react, that's for sure ๐Ÿ•ต๏ธโ€โ™€๏ธ...I don't know what Johnson Wen was thinking. Anyway, glad no one got seriously hurt ๐Ÿ˜…...and I'm a bit sad that Ariana and Cynthia had to deal with it in the first place ๐Ÿ’”

man oh man, what's going on with these stage invaders?? like, i get it, you wanna take a pic with your fave celeb but do it respectfully! pyjama man needs some serious mental health checkup ๐Ÿค•๐Ÿšจ and i don't blame Ariana one bit for being freaked out. cynthia erivo is literally the real MVP ๐Ÿ’– for stepping in like that.

and can we talk about how ridiculous his social media bio was? "Ariana Grande is the Queen"?! dude, you're just a random guy who got into a celeb's space ๐Ÿ™„ and now your life is all over instagram. the world needs more people who respect boundaries and less people like pyjama man.

this whole thing has me thinking about fan safety, though... how do we balance our love for our faves with the need to protect them from crazy fans? i hope they increase security at future events 'cause you never know what's gonna go down ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ’ฅ

omg what's wrong with this guy?! ๐Ÿคฏ he's like totally creepy & thinks he can just invade Ariana's space? ๐Ÿšซ i'm not buying that "stage invader" excuse, sounds like he was just trying to get some attention & fame by any means necessary. his social media bio saying she's the queen is just laughable ๐Ÿ˜‚ & those white socks? what's next? wearing a cape to the red carpet? ๐Ÿคฃ seriously though, this incident highlights how important it is for fans to respect boundaries & prioritize safety over their own desires. security measures need to step up at events like these ๐Ÿ’ช

OMG, what is wrong with some ppl?! ๐Ÿคฏ Pyjama Man thought he could just show up outta nowhere and ruin Ariana's night? Like, seriously, does he not know who she is? ๐Ÿ™„ And that Instagram video he shared... btw did he really think anyone would be cool with him getting all up in her space like that? ๐Ÿ˜‚ Disrespectful much? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ Cynthia Erivo saved the day tho ๐Ÿ‘ and now fans are talking about how they're gonna support Ariana properly at future events - no more unwanted hugs or jumping on shoulders for anyone! ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ Enhanced security is a must, period. ๐Ÿ˜’ Can't wait to see Ariana slay that final NYC show ๐ŸŽค
