Champions League: PSG 5-3 Spurs - Thomas Frank reaction

Spurs Suffer Thrilling, Yet Deflating, 5-3 Loss to PSG in Champions League Opener

Thomas Frank acknowledged that despite the disappointing defeat to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) on Tuesday, he was generally pleased with his Tottenham Hotspur team's performance.

The Spurs boss believed his side had shown excellent resilience and determination, particularly after being defeated by Arsenal over the weekend. PSG ultimately won 5-3 in a highly charged match that featured an abundance of goals from both sides.

PSG took an early lead before Tottenham staged an impressive comeback. However, their efforts were not enough to secure a result against one of Europe's top teams.

Frank expressed his admiration for his team's spirit and teamwork. "I think we showed great character," he said. The manager attributed the team's ability to recover from last weekend's loss to Arsenal as a key factor in their overall performance.

While Frank acknowledged that Spurs fell short of securing a positive result, he remained optimistic about the prospects for his young side in the long term.

"We are still learning and developing as a team," Frank said. "Despite not getting the desired outcome today, I am happy with how we played."

In light of their courageous showing against PSG, Frank was hopeful that Tottenham could build on this momentum and secure a brighter future under his management.

man i cant even imagine spurs losin to psg in paris lol they were up 5-3 but somehow managed to lose the match anyway. its like the game was on repeat or somethin πŸ˜‚ they showed great character and all, but come on, that many goals conceded is just crazy! i remember when spurs used to be a top team, they never scored that much against anyone back in the day πŸ™„ anyways, frank seems like a cool guy, he's got the right attitude, let's see how this season pans out for them 🀞

I'm telling you, Spurs were robbed in that match! 🀯 They came back like 3-0 down and still managed to give PSG a run for their money? That's some impressive resilience right there! The question is, can they carry this momentum through the rest of the league season? I think Frank's got it right, though - Spurs need to keep learning and developing as a team. They're not going to win every match, but if they can stay focused and keep pushing forward, who knows what might happen? πŸ€”

I'm so down for Spurs to bounce back from this loss! πŸ™Œ They showed some serious grit and determination out there, especially after getting beat by Arsenal last weekend 😬. Thomas Frank's got it right, his team is still learning and developing, but that's what makes them exciting to watch! πŸ’₯ The fans can hold their heads high, they gave it their all and left everything on the pitch πŸ’ͺ. I'm definitely keeping an eye on Spurs for the rest of the season, who knows what's gonna happen? πŸ€” #SpursForever #ChampionsLeague #DreamBig

omg that Spurs game was crazy!!! 😱 5-3 is like a huge loss, but at least they bounced back from that arsene loss last wk πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ PSG must've been super nervous 'cause they took the lead early on πŸ•°οΈ. Anyways, i gotta give it to Spurs, they showed some serious spirit & determination πŸ’ͺ🏽 that comeback was insane! Thomas Frank seems like a cool coach, he's not panicking about this loss, which is awesome πŸ‘. Let's hope Spurs can keep this momentum going and build on it πŸš€

πŸ€” so i think thomas frank is totally right about this loss to psg lol the spurs team did look super resilient especially after gettin smashed by arsenal like 2 weeks ago πŸ™ƒ and the fact that they came back from behind is like woah what a comeback 😲 but at the end of the day they just didnt manage to hold on i think its easy for frank to be optimistic about the future when ur team just put up a fight against one of the best teams in europe πŸ’ͺ

omg can't believe those goals flew in from everywhere 🀯⚽️! Spurs showed so much heart & grit after losing to Arsenal just a few days ago πŸ’ͺ🏼, but PSG just had that extra oomph πŸ”₯. I'm loving Frank's positivity though - it's all about building on the momentum and not getting too down about this one loss 😊. Tottenham might be young, but they're learning fast & it's exciting to see them grow into a solid team πŸ“ˆ!

Meh, Spurs got thrashed by PSG but I gotta give 'em props for fighting back like that 🀩πŸ”₯. 5-3 is crazy! They showed some serious grit and determination, especially after getting smashed by Arsenal last weekend πŸ˜…. Thomas Frank seems like a cool boss tho, he's all about the team spirit and stuff. Like, who wouldn't want to play for a team that's all about learning and growing together 🀝? Spurs might not have gotten the win, but they're definitely on the right track πŸ‘. And I love how Frank is staying positive and hopeful for the future 😊, it's infectious!

OMG, I'm totally hyped for Spurs!!! 🀩 I know they didn't get the win, but like, come on! They went toe-to-toe with PSG and even took the lead at one point! 🎯 The comeback was insane! πŸ”„ I'm loving how Thomas Frank is all about that positivity tho 🌞. Yeah, losing to Arsenal over the weekend might've been tough, but this PSG match showed me Spurs are on the rise πŸš€! We just gotta keep believing in our boys πŸ’–, and with Frankie at the helm, I got faith in them πŸ’ͺ. Bring it on, next match! πŸ”₯

can't believe spurs got thrashed by 2 goals 😩 anyway, i think frank's being too optimistic, it's not like they were even close to beating psg. all that comeback nonsense just means they weren't good enough at the start of the game πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ and honestly, those 5 goals are gonna be etched in our memories for a long time... 3-0 down? that's just embarrassing 😳. but hey, who knows, maybe frank's right and we'll see some improvement soon? πŸ€”

PSG must've had a few extra eggs in their hat or something cuz Spurs got thrashed 5-3 πŸ˜‚πŸ€―. I mean, I'm happy for the lads though, they showed some serious grit & determination out there. Thomas Frank's all like "we're still learning" but honestly, Spurs looked like a bunch of youngsters trying to figure out how to not lose... just kidding! They'll bounce back from this, they gotta πŸ’ͺ. Spurs might not have won the opener but I reckon they'll win some hearts with their never-say-die attitude πŸ™ŒπŸ’•.

man i cant believe tottenham got thrashed like 5-3 by psg its like they played so much better than arsenal last wkend lol remember when spurs beat man u at old trafford back in 2019? 🀣 what happened to that team? anyway gotta give frank credit tho, esp after losing to arsenal he came out swinging and got his team to come back strong psg is a tough opponent but i still think tottenham got the skills and talent to take on any team in europa league

Man, what's up with Spurs these days? πŸ€” They're like the ultimate comeback kids or something! One minute they're down 5-3, the next they're staging an epic comeback... but still losing πŸ˜…. I feel for Frank and the team, they played their hearts out, and it's awesome to see that level of resilience.

But, gotta ask, what's with these Champions League matches becoming like a war zone? πŸ’₯ 5-3 is just crazy! You'd think the refs would be on their toes by now. And Spurs' defense... 😳 they got picked apart out there. Still, you've gotta give 'em props for not giving up.

I'm loving Frank's attitude, though πŸ™Œ "We're still learning" and all that jazz. It's like, yeah, it's tough to beat PSG, but this young team has some potential πŸ”₯. If they can just iron out the kinks, maybe we'll see some magic from Spurs in the long run ⚽️.

PSG totally deserved that win πŸ˜‚ but I gotta give Spurs credit for not giving up πŸ™Œ after going down 2-0 they came back strong like πŸ”₯ and PSG's defense was shakier than I thought πŸ‘€ also Frank is right Spurs are still learning but with more games under their belt they'll get more comfortable πŸ’ͺ and we might see a better performance from them in the next match ⏰
