A.J. Brown didn't have the numbers in the Eagles' win, but a block made all the difference

A.J. Brown's Block in Eagles' Win Highlighted Amid Low-Scoring Effort

Despite being a main target in the Philadelphia Eagles' 10-7 win over Green Bay, A.J. Brown didn't have a standout game by his usual standards. He saw only three targets and two catches for 13 yards, which are all career lows this season.

However, Brown's impact on the game came in an often overlooked but crucial play. With the Eagles facing a 3rd and 7 on their drive, Saquon Barkley was left open after Jalen Hurts' initial pass attempt was covered by Green Bay's secondary. Brown then threw a crucial block to give Hurts space and allowed Barkley to break through for a 41-yard gain.

"That's a part of my job," Brown said when asked about the play. "I gotta block. That's not really something I should be highlighted for. Saquon should be. He made the guy miss."

The play showcased Brown's willingness to sacrifice his own stats in favor of the team's success, which has been a hallmark of his time with the Eagles.

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni praised Brown's block as crucial in the moment and highlighted the importance of players responding to their situations on the field. "It's about how you respond and how you be in the moment for that next one, because all that matters is that next play," Sirianni said.

The win marked a low-scoring effort by both teams, but Brown's block was a pivotal moment in securing the Eagles' 10-7 victory. As he looked to bounce back from his quiet game, Brown emphasized his focus on making improvements moving forward. "I wouldn't say it's about being happy or frustrated or anything," Brown said. "I think it's just come to work with the mindset of just getting better. That's what we have to do."

A.J. Brown's block against Green Bay was super clutch 🤩! I mean, you don't always see players putting their own stats on the backburner like that, but it's clear he's all about winning for the team. Saquon Barkley definitely deserved more love for that 41-yard run though 😂. The fact that Brown is willing to sacrifice his own performance just to open up space for his teammates says a lot about his leadership and work ethic. I think the Eagles are lucky to have him on their side 💯.

The Eagles' win was all about team effort, you feel me? 🤔 A.J. Brown might not have had a killer game, but that crucial block he laid on Saquon Barkley was EVERYTHING 💥. It just goes to show that sometimes the real MVPs aren't always the ones putting up stats, it's the guys who put in the work behind the scenes 🤝. And let's be real, if Brown wasn't there to block for Barkley, who knows what could've happened? 😬

lol Eagles fans are worried about A.J. Brown, but let's put things into perspective 🤷‍♂️. He didn't exactly light up the scoreboard today, but that block he threw for Saquon Barkley? 🔥 Game-changer right there! 😎 It shows he's willing to sacrifice his own stats for the team's success, which is super clutch in situations like that. And let's be real, Saquon had an amazing play too 🤩. Don't get me wrong, Brown's gotta step up his game, but it's not all about individual numbers, you feel? 😊

🤔 I'm telling you, this whole 'block' thing is just a cover-up 🙅‍♂️. Think about it, A.J. Brown, one of the biggest targets on their team, only gets 3 looks and he's already talking about sacrificing his own stats for the team? Sounds like a script to me 📚. And what really got my attention was when Sirianni said 'all that matters is that next play'. Like, what does that even mean? Are they trying to distract us from something? 🤷‍♂️ And that block Brown did? Just a coincidence that it happened at the right time? I don't think so 🔍. There's gotta be more to this story...

im loving how A.J. Brown is putting team over individual stats 🤩, that block on Saquon Barkley was everything and more! 😂 even if he didn't get many yards, he made sure his teammates got the job done 💪, that's what being part of a team is all about 👫
