'A human right': Benches promised for every NYC bus stop ... eventually

I'm not sure about this new bus seat thing... 🤔 I mean, 40 million bucks for seats is crazy! 😂 But at the same time, I can see why it's a good idea. Commuters need a break from waiting around all day. My aunt works on the bus and she always complains about having to stand for hours. It'd be nice if they could just sit down. 🙏 But what about those who don't have anywhere else to go? Will these seats just push them further onto the streets? That's something to think about...

I'm telling you, this whole thing feels like a setup 🤔. They're installing these seats just so we can't lay down and sleep on them, but what about those who genuinely need a place to rest? It's all about controlling the narrative, if you ask me. And have you seen the armrests they designed? Like, what's next? Installing special compartments for our purses or laptops too? 🤷‍♂️ The city is just trying to keep us occupied while they figure out real solutions for the bus problem. I'm not buying it...

I feel like we're solving one problem only to create another 🤔. Installing seats at every bus stop is going to be a game changer for people who need a place to rest, but what about those who are literally homeless and can't afford a seat? We gotta think about the bigger picture here. Instead of just throwing benches at the problem, we should be working on affordable housing options and job training programs to get people back on their feet 🏠💼. And let's not forget, our city's traffic patterns need a major overhaul! We can't keep slowing down buses by maintaining these crazy roads 😩

I'm all for giving bus riders a seat at every stop, I mean, who doesn't love being able to rest while waiting? 🤗 But on the other hand, $40 million might be a bit excessive, considering we could've just used that money for bus lanes or maintenance instead. 🤑 Plus, what about the armrests, are they really necessary? It sounds like an unnecessary expense to me... wait, no I mean, it's probably worth it to prevent people from laying down and making everyone uncomfortable 😴... ugh, can't make up my mind! 😩
