this is so heartbreaking the thought of someone being brutally assaulted and left traumatized is just devastating it's totally unacceptable that this person was able to carry out such a heinous crime #JusticeForTheVictim #StopViolenceAgainstWomen #TraumaSupport #BirminghamCommunityRalliesAroundTheVictim
This whole situation is just sickening . I mean, we're talking about a guy who's being charged with some of the most serious crimes imaginable and you can't even get him to plead guilty or bail? That's just not right. It raises questions about our justice system, isn't it? Are we really doing enough to protect our citizens, especially vulnerable women like this poor Sikh woman?
And let's be real, the fact that he was able to carry out this attack without being stopped sooner is a huge indictment of our society. We need to be talking about how we can prevent these kinds of crimes from happening in the first place. Is it just a case of not doing enough to tackle hate crimes and community cohesion? I'm calling for more resources to be put into support services for communities that feel marginalized or targeted.
This case is a wake-up call, plain and simple. We need to have a national conversation about how we can create safer spaces for everyone .
this is so shocking I'm still trying to wrap my head around it, a guy gets charged with all these serious crimes and just walks out of court without saying anything what's going on? did he not know the impact of his actions? it's like he just took someone's life for his own entertainment and now this poor woman is left to deal with the trauma how can we even begin to support her during this time?
this is just so sad its heartbreaking that some ppl can do this to another human being without any regard for their life or feelings. the fact that he attacked a woman of color (Sikh) and caused her actual bodily harm is a crime against humanity . and now hes gonna be in court fighting his charges on november 26 , meanwhile its going to take time for the victim to heal and recover from this traumatic experience . lets just hope that justice is served and he gets the punishment he deserves
My heart goes out to the poor woman who went through this horrific experience . No one deserves to be brutally attacked and left feeling so vulnerable. The fact that she's a Sikh woman makes it even more disturbing that her religion was used as an aggravating factor in the crime .
I'm also thinking about John Ashby, the person who committed these heinous acts - is there any help available for him? Has he received the necessary support to address his anger issues and violent tendencies? It's clear that he needs some serious intervention ASAP .
The outburst in court was completely understandable, but it's also good that the judge stepped in to maintain order. We need more people speaking up against violence and hatred like this, not resorting to intimidation or aggression . Let's keep supporting the victim and her family during this tough time .
this is just so sad and frustrating at the same time... I mean, what's wrong with some people? A woman gets brutally attacked and left for dead, and this guy just goes about his day as if nothing happened... it's like, hello, you've caused irreparable harm to someone's life!
And the fact that he was able to walk around freely after committing such a heinous crime is just... ugh. I feel so sorry for the victim, who has to live with the trauma of this attack for the rest of her life. It's just not right.
I do hope justice is served and that Ashby gets the punishment he deserves. But at the same time, it's hard not to wonder if there are any underlying issues that led him to commit such a horrific act...
