Talking Europe - 'We can't fill the void that America is leaving behind': EU foreign policy chief Kallas

I'm not sure about Kallas saying Europe is a geopolitical power just yet . I mean, don't get me wrong, she's got some solid points about needing global stability and all that jazz. But it feels like there are some pretty big gaps in her plan for how we're gonna fill those gaps or even if Europe is actually capable of doing so on its own . And what about the elephant in the room, EU defense policy? Isn't Ukraine already kinda getting a lot of help from other countries right now, like Germany and the US? Shouldn't we be looking at that before assuming we're gonna be the go-to guys for security issues?

I love how Kallas is all about elevating Europe's status as a geopolitical power! She's so right that we need to step up our game in terms of supporting global stability and human rights. I'm totally on board with her plan for Mercosur - it would be amazing to see European businesses thriving in emerging markets! And I think she makes a great point about the importance of unity among member states when it comes to defense policy... we need to work together, not just talk the talk

Europe needs to step up its game . Kallas is right, they can't just sit back & hope others do the heavy lifting. EU needs to show more teeth on global issues like trade & defense ‍. Mercosur is a good start, but they need to be bolder . And let's not forget about Africa, Sudan's crisis is a ticking time bomb . Europe can't just be a humanitarian helper, it needs to be a leader .
