SNAP dollars will be cut off Nov. 1. Here’s what you need to know in NY and NJ.

🤯 I'm tellin' ya, this is like somethin' outta the '90s, remember when welfare was actually called welfare? 🙅‍♂️ Now they're talkin' about cuttin' off SNAP benefits and folks are gonna be left high and dry. Like, what's goin' on? The city's doin' some stuff to help, but I'm worried 'bout the people who don't have that safety net. Food insecurity is no joke, fam! 🍔😩

The thought of thousands of people going without their monthly stipend is just heartbreaking 🤕, you know? I mean, think about it, 95 million meals for NYC residents - that's a huge number, and for people who rely on SNAP to get by, this would be like taking away their safety net. And what really gets me is the fact that some families might have to send their kids out to gather food, can you even imagine? 😱 It's just not right.

Now, I'm all for local organizations stepping up and helping out, but it's also the responsibility of lawmakers to intervene here 🤝. I mean, we know that contingency funding is available, so why not use it to keep the program funded? One-day delay could have serious consequences for families who are already struggling.

I've been hearing a lot about City Harvest and the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, doing their part to support those in need 🙏. It's great to see businesses waiving delivery fees too - that's just awesome 💯. But at the end of the day, this is all about people's lives, and we should be doing everything we can to ensure they're not left without food on the table 🍴.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that something gets done before November 1st ⚠️, for everyone's sake!

I'm so worried about these people who are gonna be left without their SNAP benefits 🤕. I mean, think about it - thousands of people relying on this program to get by and now they're just gonna lose out? It's crazy. And what really gets me is that some businesses are willing to help out, but it's not enough. We need our government to step in here and figure out a solution ASAP 💸. I'm all for supporting local organizations and food banks, but this is a state-level issue that needs to be addressed at the highest level 🤝. What if these people can't afford to wait? Food insecurity isn't just about not having enough money - it's about basic human dignity 🍴.

man this is crazy 🤯 I remember when my sister was struggling to make ends meet back in 2018, she had to rely on food banks just to get by... it's not something you wanna think about but it's real life right now for thousands of ppl in NYC & NJ. can't believe the gov is just gonna cut off the funds like that 😔 I'm all for supporting ppl in need but this feels so reckless... hope whoever's in charge steps up and does somethin' to help out 💸
